The Agape Center is a safe, supportive place for people to gather and grow mentally, physically, and in their relationship with Jesus. We offer year-round programming and mentorship for kids, teens, and adults in Roseland, Chicago, where we have been serving our neighbors since 1979.

Programs & Events

Spring Break Camp

Sign up NOW to send your child to the Agape Center during Chicago Public Schools’ spring break! Kids will enjoy a safe, supervised group experience. Activities include free time, gym games, arts & crafts, reading & math, movie time, and Bible lessons.

Ages: 1st – 8th grade
Dates: Monday, March 23 – Thursday, March 26, 2026 (Friday NOT included.)
Schedule: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Meals: Lunch is included!
Cost: $10 for your 1st child. $5 for each additional child. Financial assistance is available.

Agape After School

Send your child to the Agape Center after school to enjoy a fun, safe, supervised environment. Activities include free time, gym games, arts & crafts, academic support, and age-appropriate Bible lessons.

Ages: 1st-8th grades
Days/Times: Mondays – Wednesdays, 3:00-6:00 p.m.
Dates: April 6th – May 20th
Registration is FREE!

Teen Bible Study & Mentoring

Teens will learn about the Bible and following Jesus in a fun, interactive, relational setting. Caring adult leaders act as mentors and guides.

Ages: 7th – 12th grade
Dates: January 15 – July 9, 2026
Schedule: Thursdays from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Meals: Dinner is included

The Bridge Young Adult Bible Study

Join this young adult Bible study gathering for encouraging community, spiritual growth, and steps to adulting with Jesus.

Age Range: 18 (post high school) – 25 years old
Days/Times: 1st & 3rd Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m.– 8:30 p.m.

Jobs & Volunteer Opportunities

Work @ the Agape Center’s Summer Day Camp

We are hiring several ADULTS for the following seasonal staff positions:

Activity Leaders/Assistants who will teach the Bible, reading enrichment, arts & crafts, or gym games
Team Counselors who will supervise a group of 10 children as they participate in each activity area
Food & Jr. High Volunteer Coordinator/Assistant who will facilitate lunches & snacks for campers, while giving direction and mentorship to a small team of 8th grade volunteer assistants

We are also looking for ADULT volunteers who will serve one or more days a week in a variety of areas.

DATES:

Training and Orientation: Monday-Thursday, June 8–11, 11:30-5:00 p.m.
Summer Day Camp: Monday-Thursday, June 15 – July 9, 11:30-5:00 p.m.

ADULT Leaders for the Agape Center’s Teen Summer Jobs Program

We are hiring several ADULTS for the following seasonal staff positions:

Job-site supervisors/assistants to supervise teens on jobs sites and provide performance feedback to ensure work is safe, timely, and done with excellence. Also support trainings in life skills, job skills, and/or financial management
Bible study leaders/assistants to facilitate and support the weekly teen Bible study
1-on-1 mentors to meet with teen about faith, life, and work

We are also looking for ADULT volunteers who will serve one or more days a week.

DATES:

Training and Orientation: Various days/times from Thurs., June 4th – Thurs., June 11th
Teen Jobs Program: Various days/times from Tues., June 16th – Thurs., July 3rd

After-School Program Volunteers

We looking for adult volunteers who are following Jesus and are involved in a local church to supervise our child and teen programs. Volunteers will serve one or more days a week. Sound like you? Fill out our volunteer interest form.
