What to Expect

Our mission trips are designed for students, fitting into your school break schedule. By getting outside of regular routines and serving others, you’ll grow your faith in new ways.

You’ll Experience:

  • Faith-based outreach and cross-cultural ministry training
  • Christlike acts of service to a population diverse in age, race, and socio-economic status, including at-risk youth, immigrants, and those experiencing homelessness
  • Community with other volunteers, neighbors served, and inner-city ministries
  • Spiritual growth and social discovery

You’ll Develop:

  • A deeper commitment to discipleship, loving your neighbor, and knowing God
  • A fuller understanding of God’s heart for redemption, reconciliation, and restoration
  • Leadership skills for discipleship and small groups
  • Confidence to minister holistically to the needs of others
  • Biblical convictions to live in unity with people of all backgrounds

Urban Immersion Spring Break Mission Trips

Use your spring break to expand your understanding of God and your neighbors. You’ll work with Cru’s cross-cultural ministry partners to meet physical, relational, and spiritual needs.

Spring Break Requirements

  • Groups must contain at least 5 participants, all 18 years or older. The UI City Coordinator may be able to link you with another group if size is an issue.
  • At least one staff person should attend with each group. (Some exceptions may be made.)
  • Participation must be committed for the entire Urban Immersion week.
  • A non-refundable deposit will be due to reserve your spot with each city. Spots are limited and often fill up quickly, so send in your deposit early.
